Today is the day where I suck. I was supposed to open the store but didn't have my key. I forgot to pack a lunch. What was meant to be a mature converation with my manager devolved into The Big Sob. Nothing earth shattering, no one's dead. Just one of those days when the universe has decided it's my day to be Queen of Suck.

Working at Venus Envy has given me a lot: the opportunity to work at something fun, a new circle of friends, some extra pocket cash and all-you-can-read access to sexy books. Woot to Travel Cuts! Thanks to one of their helpful agents, Drama King and I are flying from Vancouver to Bankok (via Shanghai)for a mere $1200/person, taxes included. Not bad considering the best price we'd seen online was around $1900 excluding taxes.

As per my New Year's resolution, I've spent that past couple of days working on a painting. Save for a class I took last winter, I have no real painting skillz, mad or otherwise. Bearing this in mind, I'm pretty pleased with the way this one turned out.*

Got back last night from a lovely weekend in Montreal. I've been wanting to go fall clothes shopping and Drama King suggested we could make it a fun, romantic, mini-trip.
